Karen O'Lone Hahn, of House of the Rising Star Art Studio is holding her fifth annual Holiday Open Studio Sale on Nov. 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The studio, which is behind her home at 35 Kimbelot Lane in Landenberg, is overflowing with works created over the last year or so. She is widely known for her whimsical cow paintings and children's books, and has added "potter" to her repertoire, creating one-of-a-kind pieces of functional and decorative stoneware pottery.
The sale will include original folk art paintings, prints and

notecards, as well as signed copies of her two children's books. There will also be pottery pieces available for as little as $5 and up.

There are bonuses, such as a gift with a $30 purchase (while supplies last) and a free chance to win a "phantasmagorical prize" just for coming. She promises that the big prize is something wonderful, but you must come to the studio to find out what it is and to be entered.
