Oxford resident Lynn McAllister shared this photo of her son, Chase, on the day that the front of the base of the Oxford Presbyterian Church's steeple arrived and was erected on top of the bell tower.

The original steeple was burned in the May 1989 fire that destroyed the church building. McAllister recalled that, "It was such an exciting moment in the lives of our church family that I allowed the kids to stay home from school to witness the event. I don't recall what year in the early 1990s this was, but it's something we'll never forget!"

Chase is now 30, McAllister said.
