La Comunidad Hispana adds staff members

“Our increase in staff is essential as we are serving additional clients and added services,” said Margarita Mirkil, president and chief executive officer of LCH. “Our new staff members are , with a lot of experience.”
The new employees are Maria Zamudio, medical assistant; Marissa Patterson, nurse practitioner; Yanira Capella, medical assistant, Anel Medina, health insurance application counselor; Maria Serate-Lopez, registered nurse; and Yessenia Tavarez, resource coordinator.
Zamudio is a graduate of the Harris School of Business, and previously worked for the Maternal and Child Health Consortium. Patterson is a graduate of the Yale University School of Nursing, Johns Hopkins University and Bryn Mawr College. She has experience working in a number of health care clinics. Capella is a graduate of the Harris School of Business and has worked as a medical assistant at the Westside Family Medical Center. Medina is attending Delaware County Community College and has worked at Chester County Hospital while attending college, in the oncology and surgical care units.
Serate-Lopez has a nursing degree from the University of Puerto Rico, and has worked at Chambersburg Hospital, the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C., and the Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis. Tavarez is a graduate of Brooklyn College and Berkley College and had more than 10 years of experience in management experience.
