The 9th Annual Penn Township/Jennersville Regional Hospital Community Picnic and Health and Wellness Fair will be held on Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penn Township Park (250 Lewis Rd., West Grove). The park is next to the Jennersville Regional Hospital and across from the Southern Chester County YMCA.

Known for its free picnic and barbeque, live entertainment and community outreach, the picnic was started jointly by the Penn Supervisors and the Jennersville Regional Hospital as a way of gathering the community together to promote fun, friendship, health and wellness. It is paid for by private donations from sponsors. The picnic draws about 4,000 visitors annually.

Entertainment this year will be provided by Jesse Garron’s Live Elvis Tribute, Philadelphia’s Coast 2 Coast Motown Tribute band, the Philadelphia Union Mobile Tour with its traveling soccer field, Jungle John’s Balloon and Reptile shows, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, American Helicopter Museum’s “Stubby” and more.

Jennersville Regional Hospital will provide free health and wellness screenings, hospital tours and door prizes. Area nonprofits and services such as Activate!, the Pennsylvania State Police at Avondale, Chester County Sheriff’s Department, Medic 94 and West Grove Fire and Ambulance will be on hand with information for the public.
