Letter to the Editor:

The letter in the June 19 issue of the Chester County Press makes a great point about Common Core not being a federal initiative. The writer was in error, of course, since the Department of Education funded the grants, under its Race to the Top (RTTT) program, to those states who assented to, and signed Common Core's implementation procedures. If Common Core is not a federal initiative, it surely smells and acts like one, doesn't it?
