Chicken barbeque 
Nottingham Presbyterian Church (Route 272 and Old Baltimore Pike, Nottingham) will hold a chicken barbeque on June 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The meal will include half a chicken, applesauce, pepper cabbage, chips, a roll with butter, dessert, and a drink. The cost per ticket is $9. Proceeds from this benefit will be donated to Project Blessing, the Capital Building Campaign of the Lighthouse Youth Center in Oxford. June 22 
Buffet breakfast

Oxford United Methodist Church (18 Addison St., Oxford) offers a buffet breakfast for the community on June 22 from 7 to 10 a.m. There will be buttermilk pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, fruit, sausage, bacon, roasted potatoes, dried beef gravy and specialty breads. Free music classes

Oxford United Methodist Church (18 Addison St., Oxford) offers free beginner music classes starting on June 24 for eight weeks. Instructor Lavenia Civitella will teach flutophone (Mondays from 7 to 7:45 p.m.) and handbells (Mondays from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.). Open to all ages. Call 610-932-9698 to register.

New London United Methodist Church (1008 State Rd., New London) hosts a coffee house open mic night on June 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door ($3 if you are a performer).
