In this woodland setting, Crowe built his home, kiln and studio where he creates wood-fired functional stoneware with strong Asian and English roots. Kevin’s pottery ranges in size from 4-inch tea bowls to 48-inch vases, and is fired in his three-chamber combination anagama and noborigama kiln. The large kiln is fired twice a year for seven days, consuming eight cords of wood, with each firing producing 2000 pots. Kevin has taught workshops throughout the United States and Great Britain focused on wood firing, large-scale throwing and tea bowls.
