Faces of Migration: Screening and Celebration
At the Museum
Join the Museum’s OPEN for Interpretation artist-in-residence JJ Tiziou for an inside look at Faces of Migration, a photography installation featuring community portraits from Philadelphians across the city who have experienced migration or displacement directly or in some generation in their families.
Meet the artist to learn about his process, view the striking images of Faces of Migration, and learn how the stories in the Museum inspired not only his building-wide but community-wide residency project. Celebrate with friends and neighbors from across the city at this communal event, featuring not only JJ’s photography, but the incredible stories from across cultural communities they represent… and of course JJ’s signature lentil soup. And maybe a cupcake.
Faces of Migration is on view on the Museum’s Concourse June 21 through mid-August 2016.
Free; advance registration requested (see event website)
