Arts in Nature Festival
‘Arts in Nature Festival’ features the storytelling, giant puppets, drums, and creativity of the Philadelphia-based arts cooperative, Spiral Q.
Featuring opportunities to grab a puppet and join members of Spiral Q and the West Powelton Steppers Drill and Drum Line as they parade around Tyler’s grounds, Tyler Arboretum’s Arts in Nature Festival invites visitors of all ages to learn about the life cycle of a puppet through live, hands-on demonstrations on the
“crankie”—a giant, storytelling scroll—and by seeing how Spiral Q transforms recycled materials into large scale public art.
