BOTTOMS UP FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
Stella Blu, Gypsy Saloon and Southern Cross To Donate Money to Justice Rescue for Every Negroni Beverage Ordered Between June 6-12
Kim Strengari and Marianne Gere (owners of Stella Blu, Southern Cross and Gypsy Blu) are, once again, helping to raise funds for Justice Rescue thanks to Negroni Week, which kicked off today and runs until June 12.
Negroni Week, which will include over 6,000 participating bars, restaurants and retailers nationwide, raises money for designated charities and Strengari and Gere have selected Justice Rescue as their charity of choice.
Specifically, for every Negroni purchased at any of the three restaurants $1 will be donated to Justice Rescue. Additionally, $10,000 will be given to the bar that raises the most money to donate to the charity.
Justice Rescue is a PA-based non-profit dedicated to rescuing animals from abuse and neglect.
The specialty drinks that will be offered include:
Gypsy Saloon:
Grapefruit Negroni
Cinzano 1757, SKYY Grapefruit, Campari
Southern Cross Kitchen:
Barrel Aged Negroni
Cinzano 1757, SKYY Grapefruit, Campari, topped with Prosecco
Stella Blu:
Classic Negroni
Cinzano 1757, Bombay Sapphire, Campari
Strengari and Gere held the successful event for “Remi” at Southern Cross this past year and will be hosting another in the fall.
Negroni Week
Launched in 2013 as a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charitable causes around the world, Negroni Week grew from more than 100 participating venues to more than 1,200 participating venues around the world from 2013 to 2014 and more than $120,000 was raised for charities.
In 2015, more than 3,500 venues around the world mixed their favorite Negroni variations and raised over $320,000 for charitable causes.
This year Negroni Week takes place from June 6-12 with over 6,000 participating bars, restaurants and retailers.
