The Kennett Trio to Perform at Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church on Sunday, April 17th

The final concert in Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church’s 2014-2015 Concert Season will feature the Kennett Trio: the husband-wife violin and piano duo, Martin and Donna Beech with Robert Hoch, clarinet. This musical presentation takes place on Sunday, April 17th at 3:00 in the afternoon. The program includes pieces by Jan Vanhall (Czechoslovakian), Aram Khachaturian (Russian) and Max Bruch (German). The musicians for this concert are well known in the area. Donna Beech is the Music Director and organist at Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church. She teaches piano in her studio in Kennett Square and as a Master Faculty of the Music School of Delaware. In addition to performing on the piano as a chamber musician, she has also been a soloist with several area orchestras, and as a solo recitalist. Martin Beech has performed with many area orchestras. He is the Associate Principal Second Violinist in the Delaware Symphony. His longest association is with the Kennett Symphony of Chester County with which he has performed for 45 seasons. He is perhaps best known in the Kennett area, where he conducted the Kennett High School and Middle School Orchestras and string ensembles for 39 years. Robert Hoch is the Principal Clarinetist of the Kennett Symphony of Chester County and a member of the New Holland Band. He recently retired from the Kennett Consolidated School District where, over the course of 37 years, he taught as a woodwind specialist, directed the Kennett High School and Kennett Middle School Bands, Jazz Bands, and Woodwind Ensembles, and served as Music Department Chairman. He continues to teach private lessons on clarinet and saxophone. This afternoon of music is sponsored by Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church for the benefit of the community. All are welcome to attend. A suggested donation of $5.00 helps to pay costs for these events. Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church is located across from the entrance to Winterthur on Kennett Pike (Route 52) near Centerville, Delaware.
