ON THE HUNT TO END ALZHEIMER’S!

THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION DELAWARE VALLEY CHAPTER TO HOST SIXTH ANNUAL CITY-WIDE SCAVENGER HUNT, “QUASH”

The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter is searching for a way to “QUASH” Alzheimer’s through its sixth annual city-wide scavenger hunt on Saturday, October 3, 2015. QUASH (Quest to Unravel Alzheimer's Scavenger Hunt) is a fun and challenging event that is one part scavenger hunt and one part fundraiser where teams battle to complete the brain-teasing adventure around the “City of Brotherly Love”. Featuring both mental and physical competition for a great cause, this unique event includes teams of two to four participants that will have two and half hours to complete a scavenger hunt around Philadelphia. All proceeds raised from QUASH benefit the Junior Committee's team for the Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimer's, which supports the Alzheimer's Association's mission of a world without Alzheimer's disease through care and support for Alzheimer's patients and their families as well as the research efforts around the United States. Alzheimer’s affects more than five million people in the U.S., including an estimated 200,000 younger than age 65 ̶ and although rare, some as young as 30. It is the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death, and the only one of the top 10 that has no cure, can’t be prevented, or even slowed. QUASH will kick off at City Tap House (Logan Square, Philadelphia) at 10 AM and the after party will begin at approximately 1:30 PM. Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Delaware Valley Chapter, headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the local arm of the national organization. The Chapter, with Regional and Branch Offices serves 18 counties in South Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, providing programs and services to more than 294,000 individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder.
