Stroud Water Research Center is hosting a free science chat about how living organisms structure freshwater systems.
From river islands and floodplains to gravel beds that remains intact through the violent rush of floodwaters, learn how living organisms influence how freshwater systems work, with examples from both near and far.
Doors open at 6 for light refreshments and open house. Talk begins at 7 p.m.
