Kennett Chocolate Lovers Festival
Help out the United Way of Southern Chester County by visiting the Kennett Chocolate Lovers Festival, which is slated Feb. 8 in Kennett Square.
The contest is open to professional chefs and great bakers ages 12 and older, and there's no cost to enter. Entrance period has ended.
The Chocolate Festival is an eagerly anticipated annual midwinter event that draws hundreds of entries and a bigger crowd of people who love their chocolate. The event will be held at Kennett High School (100 E. South St., Kennett Square) from 1 to 4 p.m. If you go, you'll get to choose from among cakes, brownies, candies, cookies, cupcakes and dazzling chocolate creations of all kinds. Winning recipes will get ribbons and prizes, and visitors get to sample some delicious treats.
The United Way of Southern Chester County serves the residents of Avon Grove, Kennett, Oxford, and the Unionville-Chadds Ford school districts. More than 30 area health and human service programs are supported by the United Way.
