High St., West Chester, PA. Entrance is on Market St. Synopsis: Edwin has jilted Angelina and now she's taken him to court for breach of promise, a now-forgotten proceeding where a man could be sued for withdrawing a promise of marriage. In this trial, the defendant is a roguish playboy, the lovely plaintiff flirts shamelessly with the all-male jury, and confusion reigns until the judge renders a verdict that all can readily accept.
