Newark Symphony Orchestra Concert
The Newark Symphony celebrates the Holidays with great American tunes and serious entertainment! Included in the December Symphony concert will be Gershwin’s “American in Paris,” and Leonard Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances” from West Side Story. As special treats the orchestra will be joined by the Delaware All-State Alumni theater group, Jeffrey Santoro, Director, for the West Side Story Concert Suite; and the gospel choir from Dover’s Calvary Baptist Church, Dion LeMon, Director, for seasonal spirituals. Newark Mayor Polly Sierer will make a presentation of instruments to two student musicians. The concert promises to be an awesome party—and you’re all invited!
