“A Musical Tribute to Heroes”

ADMISSION IS FREE
The Newark Symphony will once again perform its wildly popular Free Family Concert as a salute to heroes, including themes from Superman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Harry Potter, composed by John Williams, Badelt’s “Pirates of the Caribbean”, William Tell, Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” as well as a short selection from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “Eroica.”
The concert will include special performances by The Independence School Band, directed by Dan Kitching, and The Salesianum School Marching Band, directed by Brian Cox. Audience members will receive goody bags, and will be invited to participate in a raffle and an Instrument Petting Zoo after the concert. Goodwill donations will be accepted.
The concert is presented in partnership with The Independence School, Music & Arts, and is funded, in part, by the City of Newark, and the Delaware Division of the Arts.
