Celebrate the 200th anniversary of our national anthem in its birthplace – Baltimore! Experience Fort! Flag! Fire! at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in July and August. Fort! Flag! Fire! combines the three most engaging ways to experience historic Fort McHenry, with daily programming that includes tours of the original buildings, hoisting the grand 30-by-42-foot flag over the ramparts of the fort and firing of the fort’s cannons. In addition to the exciting ranger programs, living history participants dressed in the uniforms of the soldiers, sailors and civilians from the War of 1812 are “on duty” every day. Special children’s programs also make history fun for the young and young at heart.
