Nelly Berman School's "Celebration of the Arts" Gala Concert

Join us for an afternoon of classical music, ballet, and theater!

The Nelly Berman School Classical Music Institute is proud to present our "Celebration of the Arts" Gala Concert at 3:30pm on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at West Chester University.

In our “Celebration of the Arts” Gala Concert, the culmination of our “Celebration of the Arts” Festival, we will be collaborating with the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet from Narberth, PA, whose dancers will perform choreographed pieces alongside our musicians on-stage. The grand finale of the event will feature our school orchestra performing "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint-Saens alongside ballet dancers in costume, as well as Ogden Nash's accompanying monologues performed by local theater students.

This event will benefit the Nelly Berman School Classical Music Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides scholarships to deserving, hard-working young musicians and organizes concerts, masterclasses, workshops and events (such as the one above) for the greater Philadelphia community.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite or by check (made out to NBSCMI) delivered to the Nelly Berman School office. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to our nonprofit 501(c)(3) scholarship fund, please visit https://nbsmusic.com/support/

If you are not yet enrolled at the Nelly Berman School of Music and would like to try lessons at our school, please drop your concert tickets in our prize box on your way out at the end of the 3:30pm concert - six lucky winners will receive up to five 30-minute lessons (up to $210 value) - you can choose to try violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, saxophone, trombone, guitar, or voice!

The school also invites all concertgoers to attend its open Saturday afternoon performance classes and instrumental workshops presented by renowned musicians - our spring semester workshop lineup includes theory, brass, and strings (led by Philadelphia orchestra member Paul Arnold). Students are also invited to audition in our gifted students' scholarship program on March 31st - contact us at [email protected] or 610-896-5105 for more information.
