“Ribstock” Celebrates 10 Years Of “Peace & Music” With Power-Packed Performances By The Region’s Top Artists

The Bridgeport Ribhouse’s Annual Charity Concert Supports Three Local Charities

“Ribstock”, the Bridgeport Ribhouse’s beloved annual charity concert event, is rockin’ and rolling in to its 10th year with an onslaught of live music and entertainment that is sure to be one for the books. Featuring eight bands, as well as a variety of special guests, the all-day music extravaganza will be held Sunday, February 16 starting at 2 PM as part of an epic Presidents’ Day Weekend at the iconic Bridgeport Ribhouse (1049 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA).

Affectionally known as the “Day Of Peace And Music,” this much-anticipated event will benefit the Bridgeport Little League and Norristown’s Expressive Path, a non-profit organization committed to enriching, educating, and inspiring adolescents by providing resources in the areas of theater, dance, music, humanities and the visual arts. Musical instruments were also donated to Musicopia, a local non-profit that works to build sustained partnerships with school districts throughout the region and is a leader in revitalizing in and after school music programs.

According to Bridgeport Ribhouse Owner Melissa Navitsky, nearly six thousand dollars was raised for the charities last year and she believes that, with the community’s support, the 10th Annual “Ribstock” will be even more successful. “The Bridgeport Ribhouse is grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and we feel blessed that we are able to help out with benefits such as ‘Ribstock’,” said Navitsky. “We are so thankful for the participation of everyone involved who has volunteered his or her time and talent to keep Bridgeport strong.”

The 10th Annual “Ribstock” will feature performances by some of the area’s best artists including: The Hot Sauce Junkies, Former Strangers, Idlewild South, Nat Attack (featuring Michael Natalini of The Trammps), Bonehead, Old School, Paul Hammond (from Get the Led Out) & Friends (including special guests Brian Quinn of Candlebox, Danny Beissel of Featherborn, and John McNutt of the Mile High Club) and Montoj. In addition to the live music located inside the bar, sandwiches and other food items will be served outside in the tented area in the Ribhouse parking lot. “Ribstock” will be sponsored by the following local businesses: Rotation Records, axis construction Management, Bello Brothers Construction, dmk Publicity and Bauder Audio Systems.
