Museum Explorers: Fantastic Journeys with David Wiesner

Interactive gallery tour and art activities at the Brandywine River Museum of Art for children and their grown-ups featuring award-winning children’s book illustrators.

Become a Museum Explorer at the Brandywine River Museum of Art! Join us for an interactive gallery tour with art activities for children ages two to eight and their grown-ups. Inspired by the exhibition, N. C. Wyeth: New Perspectives, this program will feature award-winning children’s book illustrators each week. Embark on an adventurous trek through the Museum seeking inspiration for a fantastical craft during “Museum Explorers: Fantastic Journeys.” David Wiesner is a three-time winner of the prestigious Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children. His popular titles include Tuesday, The Three Pigs, Flotsam and Mr. Wuffles! This program is part of The Art of Stories presented by PNC Arts Alive—a multidisciplinary celebration of the narrative arts and the ways in which stories are crafted, saved and shared including discussions, performances and opportunities for artistic self-expression.
