Please join us on Friday, May 24 from 11 am – 8 pm for Heritage Day at The Star Barn Village Family Picnic and Train Experience • Self-guided Walking Tour of The Star Barn Village and Ironstone Ranch • Bring your own picnic lunch or buy from our “Outdoor Barbeque Boutique” by C&J Catering • Seating available in The Star Barn, under the Grand Canopy Tent or bring your own blanket for a picnic around the property on our many picturesque grassy spots • Steam engine-churned ice cream available to purchase • Drive through the restored Herr’s Mill Covered Bridge • Fire-pits, yard games and much, much more • The Shepherd's Staff Petting Zoo: alpacas, miniature pony, donkeys, and a pot-bellied pig • Memorabilia in The Sower and the Seed Shoppe available to purchase • Browse The Star Barn Museum and Art Gallery • Walk and talk in the Village with John Enterline, Stone Gables Estate's Horticulturist • Pony rides available to purchase • Receive a full-color commemorative Star Barn booklet with before and after photographs Add the Train Experience to your day: Ride in the replica of an 1848 Pioneer Coach and Walk through the replica of the 1865 Lincoln Funeral Car, the “United States” Purchase Train Experience tickets at the event: $10 per ticket $5 per ticket: children ages 4 – 12 Free: children ages 3 and under Special introductory offer includes: • Train ride times: every half hour from 12 - 7 pm • Tractor-pulled wagon rides from The Star Barn to the train • Ride in the replica of an 1848 Pioneer Coach • Walk through the replica of the 1865 Lincoln Funeral Car, the "United States" • See the restored 1844 Herr’s Mill Covered Bridge • Learn the history of the 1832 rail line, the 1877 Star Barn, the 1860 Ironstone Ranch, and the future Barns of Belmont with the National Christmas Center The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission has entered The Star Barn Village in the National Register of Historic Places.
