The Language of Birds

Calling all birders! When a bird sings, it’s telling you what it is and where it is. Increase your chances of successfully sighting and identifying birds “by ear” using Holly’s intriguing strategies. Learn how, why, and when birds sing for up to 20 local species, and come away with a great foundation of skills for understanding and using bird language on your next birdwatching expedition. Dress for the weather, bring your binoculars, and wear practical shoes for walking over uneven paths. (Class size is limited.) Note: While this program focuses on techniques of birding, we cannot be certain of any sightings. That is the joy and spontaneity of nature, and of these explorations.
