Jennersville, PA. – The 9th Annual Penn Township/Jennersville Regional Hospital Community Picnic and Health and Wellness Fair will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penn Township Park located at 250 Lewis Road, West Grove, PA. The park is located next to the Jennersville Regional Hospital and across from the Southern Chester County YMCA.
Known for its free picnic and barbeque, great entertainment and as a great opportunity for community outreach, the picnic was started jointly by the Penn Supervisors and the Jennersville Regional Hospital as a way of gathering the community at large together to promote fun, friendship, health and wellness. It is paid for entirely by private donations from sponsors. Over the years, the picnic has grown in one of Southern Chester County’s “must attend” events for fall drawing 4,000 visitors annually.
This year’s picnic promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Entertainment will be provided by Jesse Garron’s Live ELVIS Tribute, Philadelphia’s own Coast 2 Coast Motown Tribute band, the Philadelphia Union Mobile Tour with its traveling soccer field, Jungle John’s Balloon and Reptile shows, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, American Helicopter Museum’s “Stubby” and much more. Jennersville Regional Hospital will provide free health and wellness screenings, hospital tours and door prizes. Area nonprofits and services such as Activate!, the Pennsylvania State Police at Avondale, Chester County Sheriff’s Department, Medic 94 and West Grove Fire and Ambulance will be on hand with information for the public.
