Starting on Thursday, October 18, certified Love and Logic trainer Shari Cissel will facilitate a special six-session small group class, Parenting the Love and Logic Way. Hosted by Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church as part of its Vision 2020 Series, this event is FREE and open to the community.

The class is an opportunity for parents to gain some practical tools for raising respectful, responsible, and happy children using techniques proven over 40 years of testing in-the-home. These techniques are simple and easy to learn, have immediate and positive effects, lower parental stress levels, and increase the odds of a positive, life-long parent/child relationship.

The group will meet to cover the topics listed below from 6:30-8:30 pm on the following dates:

October 18 - Session 1 Putting an End to Arguing, Back Talk, and Begging
November 1 - Session 2 Teaching Responsibility Without Losing Their Love
November 15 - Session 3 Setting Limits Without Waging War
February 28 - Session 4 Avoiding Power Struggles
March 14 - Session 5 Guiding Kids to Own and Solve Their Problems
March 28 - Session 6 Teaching Kids to Complete Chores...Without Reminders and Without Pay

Please note: Though the series is FREE, there is a one-time $10 Materials Fee for the ‘Love and Logic’ Workbook.

To make participation as easy as possible for parents, childcare will be available at $5/Child. Even homework help will be provided.

The six small-group meetings will be held in the church social hall. Participants are invited to come ‘as they are.’

Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church is located on Route 52 at 101 Old Kennett Rd, Wilmington, DE 19807, across from Winterthur, within easy driving distance of northern Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania.
