Pine Barrens Field Trip
The New Jersey Pine Barrens comprise more than a million acres of a unique coastal plains ecosystem where challenging soil conditions have shaped the distinctive and specialized flora of the region. Join Mt. Cuba Center horticulturists Renée Kemmerer and Emily Tinalli on a botanical exploration of the upland and wetland native plant communities of this extraordinary natural area. Bring your lunch and be prepared for hiking and getting your feet wet. Class size is limited. Although van transportation is available from Mt. Cuba Center on a first-come, first-served basis, carpooling is encouraged.
