Gardening with Woodland Wildflowers
Much of the earliest color in our native woodlands is provided by wildflowers that bloom before the trees above them leaf out. Miles Arnott, Executive Director of the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, discusses the unique life cycles of these early spring beauties and the ecological services they provide. A short garden walk highlights some of Mt. Cuba Center’s key woodland wildflowers. Leave with 5 native perennials and tips on how to successfully grow them in your garden. Class size is limited.
