An Exhibit Featuring Her Fantastical Creations And Highlighting Rare Local Antique Toy Collections

The Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area is thrilled to announce the opening of a new exhibit on First Friday, October 6, 2017, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, entitled A Peek into The Unusual Imagination of Microbarbi An Exhibit Featuring Her Fantastical Creations And Highlighting Rare Local Antique Toy Collections This exhibit will amaze young and old alike! On view will be an array of antique toys, including examples from Bob Momyers's collection of circus rarities from The Greatest Show on Earth and Dave Meadow's unique myriad of toys forgotten by time. This exhibit exclusively features Microbarbi's (aka Barbara Carreno) extraordinary works of toy art. Her works have been presented internationally in galleries and museums from Venezuela to Barcelona, Spain and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Also, her whimsical creations have been featured in publications, including comprehensive books on toy art. All opening night attendees will receive an exclusive pass to the afterparty that will be held at The Colonial Theatre. Location: 204 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460
