The Star Barn Raising Festival is a once-in-a-lifetime event with entertainment and activities for the whole family. Be part of the traditional hand barn raising or learn how a wooden peg is made through hands-on workshop experiences conducted by our timber framing experts. Enjoy a walking tour of the site and see The Star Barn's meticulously restored Hog Barn, Chicken Coop, and Carriage House as well as many other structures and unique features. See the remarkably detailed 1:12-scale replicas of The Star Barn Complex. Learn about the history of The Star Barn. Stay for fireworks on Tuesday, July 4. At the festival, you’ll find many other activities available for you and your family. Experience our horse-drawn hitch wagon rides, tractor-pulled hay wagons, pony rides, and live interaction with all the ranch animals, including alpacas, mini horses, oxen, Big C and Vegas, our longhorn steer, Leroy the donkey, and James Ross, Jr., our miniature potbelly pig. Bounce in an inflatable house or ride a mechanical bull. These experiences, live entertainment, and much more are included in the price of admission. Hamburgers, BBQ chicken, French fries, ice cream, and a variety of other foods, as well as country crafts and Star Barn souvenirs will be available for sale at the event. Free onsite parking and shuttle service is available. Bring your chair or blanket, relax, and enjoy watching The Star Barn come to life.
