On February 26 at 2:00 pm, Pennsylvania Philharmonic and music director Michael Butterman, will present Inspiration! at Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall at West Chester University.
Music Director Michael Butterman and the Pennsylvania Philharmonic dazzle with classical selections inspired by other notable pieces of art and literature. Inspiration! explores the role of inspiration in all forms of art.
This multidimensional concert experience allows you to witness inspiration bloom live on stage!
Regional, artist, Kris Benedict, will be creating a piece of art on-stage while being inspired in real time by Michael Butterman and the Pennsylvania Philharmonic's interpretation of Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy - Overture! You can read more about Kris Benedict at his website: http://www.kristopherbenedict.com/
This is a rare experience to be inspired by music and artwork simultaneously!
Showcasing Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet, the orchestra will also feature Candide Overture by Leonard Bernstein and Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite – all which celebrate the fact that artists’ creations are often sparked by the works of others.
