Singing Classes for All Ages, Summer 2017

Improve your singing voice in a creative and non-threatening environment. Students will participate in exercises designed to improve vocal quality and range, develop musical skills, and encourage expression through song. They will also receive two private one-on-one voice lessons with the instructor, who will help each student choose a solo song that suits her or his voice. At the final class, students will have the opportunity (optional) to perform in front of the class and invited guests.

Singing Class for Kids, 7-12 years (7 classes) $115 ($105 if purchased by June 1) Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-11:30am: 6/20, 6/22, 6/27, 6/29, (no class 7/4), 7/6, 7/11, 7/13

Singing Class for Teens, 12-18 years (7 classes) $115 ($105 if purchased by June 1) Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-4:30pm: 6/20, 6/22, 6/27, 6/29, (no class 7/4), 7/6, 7/11, 7/13

Singing Class for Adults (6 classes) $100 ($90 if purchased by June 1) Mondays, 7:00-9:00pm: 6/19, 6/26, 7/3, 7/10, (no class week of 7/17), 7/24, 7/31

Catherine K. Brown maintains a thriving home voice studio and offers private voice lessons during the school year at Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. She holds a B.A. in music and German from St. Olaf College and has completed extensive coursework in vocal pedagogy and child/adolescent voice. Catherine has taught popular courses in singing and the speaking voice at Chester County Night School. Her singing students have performed with professional theaters (Walnut Street Theatre, Bucks County Playhouse, Fulton Theatre, Media Theatre), with community theaters (Forge Theatre, Barley Sheaf Players, Footlighters Theater), and in lead roles in their school theatrical productions.
