Despite the rainy weather this past weekend, thousands of shoppers strolled through the annual Kennett Holiday Village Market to explore booth after booth of artisan gift options.

Organized by Historic Kennett Square, the market showcases the work of local and regional artisans, and provides shoppers and visitors other events as well. This year, the market is being held on the exterior terrace of the newly revamped Creamery of Kennett Square, a key component of the revitalization of Birch Street.

In 2016, the initial idea for the market was developed by Kennett Township supervisor Whitney Hoffman, who wanted to bring the essence of vibrant European Christmas market to the Kennett area.

The market continues this coming weekend, Dec. 8 and 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Creamery of Kennett Square. For more information, visit www.kennettholidayvillage.com.
