2015 KENNETT RUN EVENT GUIDE

04/29/2015 11:24AM ● By Randy
WELCOME to the 24th Annual Kennett Run!!   We are a small town…hosting a BIG RACE…supported and surrounded by our STRONG COMMUNITY.

The Kennett Run Charities was established in 1989 with the purpose of promoting the general well being and civic betterment of Kennett area residents, organizations and projects.  It has been our honor to support the needs of our community.
The race offers something for all ages and abilities ranging from a 1 mile fun walk to a 10K PowerRun and everything in between.  Our race is staffed by the many community volunteers along with Rotarians and members of the Kennett Square Lions Club.   What make this day so special is the big party in the park for all the racers, their families, volunteers and anyone else from our community to join in this celebration.  Food, drinks and entertainment are all provided by the generosity and support of our local businesses and sponsors, celebrating the strength of community and family in Kennett Square.

Through our grant application process, the Board of Directors has gifted close to $600,000 back to the community since its inception.  In addition, our volunteers have assisted in the park’s maintenance and development, community enrichment programs and reaching out to non-profits in need of funding.  Our all volunteer Board of Directors and Race Committee believe strongly in the mission for which charity is based
.
We are so very grateful for the support of our corporate sponsors.  Knowing the economic business climate today, their generosity continues.  The Board would like to extend our appreciation to East Marlborough Township, Kennett Borough, Police, Fire Companies and EMS workers for their support in planning this annual event.  We could not provide the quality of an event like the Kennett Run without them!

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Kennett Run Charities, Inc., we look forward to a fantastic day of events in order to serve our COMMUNITY.

SEE YOU ON RACE DAY.
