Spring comes to the Brandywine

A tree immortalized in works by the Wyeth family leans over the Brandywine.

Living in Chester County, we get used to the scenery along the banks of the Brandywine, but when spring arrives and the leaves begin to appear, it's worthwhile to stroll along the pathway near the Brandywine River Museum of Art and get to know the beauty of the place we live.
On a warm day last week, a quiet walk revealed a hint of summer's color just beginning to blossom, the rushing water of a storm-swollen river, and a goose proudly staking his claim to a tiny island. The next time you have a free hour, take time to appreciate how beautiful Chester County really is.
