Candlelight vigil on Jan. 11 to observe Human Trafficking Awareness Day
● By Steven Hoffman
A candlelight vigil is scheduled on Jan. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. to bring attention to Human Trafficking Awareness Day. ACE Anti-Human Trafficking Alliance invites local communities to stand together to raise awareness of the issue and bring an end to this modern-day slavery. Anyone interested in the cause is invited to gather at the intersection of Route 10 and Route 472 in Oxford. Please bring a battery-operated candle if possible, because only a limited supply will be available.
ACE (Advocating, Collaborating, Educating) Anti-Human Trafficking Alliance meets the first Saturday of each month at the Oxford Senior Center. No registration is necessary for the vigil or the monthly meetings. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
