The leaves have turned and are canvassing our lawn and streets with their beautiful colors. We've already carved our pumpkins and gone trick-or-treating. Fall is quickly coming to a close as holiday music and commercials begin to flood our radios and television screens. As the seasons begin to change once again, we reflect back on some of the fun we had last month.

We searched far and wide for some well-known corn mazes in Pennsylvania, along with some hidden gems. Below are five family-friendly spots to consider for next year.

Cherry Crest Farm - Lancaster, PA

Open July 4 through Nov. 8, the corn maze is 5 acres with 2.5 miles of paths. What makes it fun are the clues set throughout the maze to help participants find a way out. This year's theme was "Music Through the Decades."

On its 82-acre farm sits 8 acres of Barnyard Kingdom, where families can enjoy plenty of fun activities, including the annual corn maze. According to its website, "Adventure through our giant 5 acre Corn Maze designed by Maize Quest. Go 'hog wild' cheering for your favorite swine at our pig races – the only pig show in Lancaster County! Tour our working farm on one of our wagon rides. Visit sheep, goats, chickens, ponies, bunnies and more in our petting zoo. Learn about where food comes from at the Hamburger Farm. Fly down our giant tunnel slide. Take the little ones for a trip around the Barnyard on our mini wagon ride. Race your friends & family around our pedal cart track. We have fun for all ages!"

The maze is open through Nov. 1, and includes nighttime fun with the flashlight maze. General hours are Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
