After first-place finish, Avon Grove Marching Band heads to Atlantic Coast Championship

The Avon Grove High School Marching Band won first place at the Tournament of Bands Chapter Championship held Oct. 18 at Wilson High School. The Avon Grove Marching Band also won the High Auxiliary award for best color guard and the High Percussion award for best percussion.

The win qualifies the marching band to compete in the Atlantic Coast Championship scheduled for Oct. 26 at Hershey Park Stadium. The event is scheduled to start at 5:15 p.m. and the Avon Grove Marching Band is scheduled to perform its show "Bushido: Code of the Samurai" at 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Tickets are $20 at the gate.
