A bloody nose?

The sudden withdrawal of Cuyler Walker as the Republican candidate for the 158th District of the State Legislature is a bloody nose for the Chester County Republican Party.

It is now only six weeks until the general election, and the GOP leadership will be scrambling to find a credible replacement. Most likely, it is too late to have the new candidate replace Walker on the November ballot, so the new GOP candidate would have to be a write-in. It is also probable that the same “personal reasons” that caused Walker to drop out will lead to his resignation as an East Marlborough Township supervisor.

Moreover, the Democrat opposing Walker, Susan Rzucidlo, is no political novice and has a background of public service.
