Wine label exhibition

Station Gallery 35th anniversary

The Station Gallery (3922 Kennett Pike, Greenville, Del.) celebrates 35 years with an anniversary show featuring works by 59 artists who have exhibited with the gallery over the years. Charles Burchfield

The Brandywine River Museum (Route 1, Chadds Ford) will present "Exalted Nature: The Real and Fantastic World of Charles Burchfield" through Nov. 16. Burchfield (1893-1967) was a leading American artist, and the exhibition feature more than 50 of his vibrant, imaginative paintings. The museum is open daily. Visit www.brandywine.org.

Art classes with Karl Kuerner

The Brandywine River Museum (Route 1, Chadds Ford) offers art classes with Karl J. Kuerner on Tuesdays from Sept. 23 to Nov. 11 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), and Saturdays from Sept. 27 to Nov. 15 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.). The Chadds Ford artist will teach classes at the Kuerner Farm, site of many of Andrew Wyeth's best-known works. The first class will meet at the museum before going to the farm site. History book signing

Bookplace (2373 Baltimore Pike, Oxford) hosts a book signing by author Gene Pisasale on Sept. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. The new book is "American Revolution to Fine Art: Brandywine Valley Reflections," including stories and photos of patriots, Quakers, artists, farmers, mushroom growers, museums and more. Barns-Brinton House in art

Amanda C. Burdan, the Brandywine River Museum of Art associate curator, will discuss paintings that depict the historic Barns-Brinton House on Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. at the museum. The house has been painted over the years by artists such as Barclay Rubicam, Andrew Wyeth, Paul Scarborough and Karl Kuerner. Tea and cookies will be served following the lecture. The lecture is included with museum admission (free for Brandywine members).
