The Chester County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Jason Michael Bowman, who is now in custody in the Mercer County Prison in New Jersey.

“A tip was received in Chester County indicating a specific address in New Jersey where Bowman could be located,”  explained Chester County Sheriff Carolyn Bunny Welsh. “The Chester County Sheriff's Office and the Pennsylvania State Police contacted authorities in New Jersey. The Trenton Division of the U.S. Marshals Service and assisting agencies took immediate action, resulting in Bowman's arrest.”

Bowman, who was wanted on charges of possession of a firearm, was included on the list of Chester County's 15 Most Wanted fugitives that was released two months ago. He is the fourth person on that list to be arrested.

“We are very grateful to the citizens who have been willing to provide information and assist law enforcement,” Welsh said, adding that the capture of Bowman is another example of multiple law enforcement agencies working together for a safe and successful outcome.
