The New Garden Flying Field will be hosting its 43rd annual Festival of Flight Air & Car Show on Aug. 23-24, which will be highlighted by a diversity of aircraft that includes vintage aircraft, stunt performances and an antique car show.

World famous aerobatic pilots such as Greg Koontz and The Alabama Boys, Matt Chapman, Kevin Russo and Jerry Wells Bucker Aerobatics will be performing on both days of the festival. In addition, the festival will also include several formation flights of World War II aircraft, including transports, fighters and bombers. There will also be an antique and classic car show that will award “People's Choice” prizes to the most popular vehicles. The air show will also offer vintage aircraft rides throughout the festival.

The gates will open at 9 a.m. on both days, and will feature on-ground activities such as performances by the Manhattan Dolls, and a tribute to Abbott and Costello. The event will also feature food tents and a kids' moon bounce. The air shows start at 11:30 a.m. on both days. Gate prices are $20 for adults and $10 for children, ages 6-12. Advanced tickets are $17 for adults and $7 for children, and can be obtained in advance of the event at either the New Garden Flying Field or the New Garden Township Building, located on 299 Starr Road in Landenberg. Weekend passes, VIP hangar passes and VIP parking passes are also available in advance or on the days of the event.
