Nature programs at White Clay Creek State Park

White Clay Creek State Park (425 Wedgewood Rd., Newark, Del.) presents the following nature programs in August:

Full Moon Friday Hike

Aug. 8, 7 p.m.

Each month on the Friday on or before the full moon, join a night hike in the park. $5 per person. Call to register (302-368-6900).

Harmony Hike

Aug. 14, 6:30 p.m.

Join a silent hike just before sunset to listen to the sounds of nature. Call to register (302-368-6900).

Panning for Creek Gems

Aug. 16, 10 a.m.

Pan the creek for garnets, magnetite and other shiny treasures. Pie plates with holes in them will be provided for registered participants. Water shoes and towel are recommended. $5 per person. Call to register (302-368-6900).

Macro Photography Workshop

Aug. 23, 10 a.m.

Learn about macro photography or close-up nature photography on the trail. Bring a camera or smart phone. $6 per person. Call to register (302-368-6900).
