Chester County Press

Whitewashed?

The so-called independent review of the U-CF resident requirements by the Chester County Intermediate Unit is a joke.

The CCIU is made up of public school bureaucrats, and is hardly an objective source in investigating one of their own schools. Even the CCIU found the U-CF District lacking in vigilance by recommending many changes to close the loopholes. No one talked to Sharon Parker, the school superintendent at the time of the enrollment, questioned and investigated by former board member Dr. Holly Manzone.

In fact, the CCIU didn't even talk to Manzone.

Having the CCIU be the principal reviewer is hardly objective and is a conflict of interest. An outsider, or a private investigator or attorney, would be far more objective.

This violation of residency requirements is still going on, according to anonymous Chester County Press sources, and represents substantial ongoing costs to district taxpayers. The school tax bills for 2014-2015 that landed in your mailbox in early July are high enough to demand more stringent enforcement.
