BURGLARY AND THREATS

Kennett Square police arrested Matthew Jeavons, 27, of Landenberg, for burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and drug possession charges after police found him breaking into a home in the 300 block of South Broad Street on June 22. He was arraigned and bail was set at $20,000 cash. While in the holding cell at the police station, Jeavons made threats and damaged the holding cell camera, leading to additional charges being filed against him for terroristic threats and institutional vandalism.

HARASSMENT AND THREATS

Charges of harassment and disorderly conduct were filed against Jose Mondragon-Alvarez, 23, of Chester, on June 22 in connection with an incident at a home in the 300 block of East Linden Street. Also arrested was Jorge Mondragon-Alvarez, 21, of Chester, who was charged with multiple counts of assault, reckless endangerment, terroristic threats and harassment. Jorge reportedly threw a beer bottle at a woman and her 4-year-old daughter and threatened the woman on June 22 at around 2 p.m. at the home.

BATTERY STOLEN

A battery for a John Deere lawnmower was stolen overnight on July 19 from a home at 27 Kimbelot Lane in Landenberg, according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. Anyone with information is asked to call trooper Schatzmann at 610-268-2022.

PARK RAILING DAMAGED

Sometime overnight on June 26, a post and railing on the main stage at Anson B. Nixon Park was damaged, according to Kennett Square police.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Overnight on June 22, two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Hazel Avenue in Kennett Square, according to Kennett Square police. Also, overnight on June 27, the rear driver's side door of a car parked in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue was scratched, according to police.
