The Oxford Public Library has received an E. Kneale Dockstader Foundation grant for $2,300.  This grant will fund the Literature in the Garden program.

The program is developed by the Junior Master Gardeners to promote literacy through a curriculum that includes six garden and ecology-themed children’s books, creative expression and hands-on outdoor activities.

This class will meet at the Oxford Public Library Gardens on Tuesdays, July 8 through Aug. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. The class will be taught by Chester County Master Gardeners.  The program is free to children 8 and older, but registration is required.  Contact the library to register or for more information (610-932-9625 or www.oxfordpubliclibrary.or)g .
