Construction has begun on the long-delayed Jennersville Medical Office Building in Jennersville.

The planned two-story, 72,000-square-foot facility will be located at Route 796 and Woodview Road, just north of Route 1. The steel-framed, brick and metal clad ambulatory care facility will house primary and specialty care physician offices, diagnostic imaging, physical therapy, and laboratory services.

Construction is scheduled to continue for about a year. The building is a partnership of Seavest Healthcare Properties LLC, based in White Plains, N.Y., and Anchor Health Properties.

Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital is a University of Pennsylvania Health System hospital. The new facility is tenanted by the Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital and affiliated physicians.

“With the population growth this area has experienced in recent years, the need for patient services has also increased,” Winer said. “The new facility accommodates space for physicians, provides accessibility, visibility and the opportunity for future expansion.”
