Senate majority leader Dominic Pileggi (R-9) last week announced that $76,130 in state grants have been awarded to museums in Chester County and Delaware County.
The grants, released by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, are intended to help strengthen Pennsylvania’s museum community by supporting the general operations of eligible museums and official county historical societies that are not supported by other state agency funding programs.
“It’s critical that we preserve our commonwealth’s rich history,” Pileggi said. “Chester and Delaware counties are full of historical treasures, and I’m pleased to support this important program.”
Grant awards made to organizations in Chester and Delaware Counties included:
American Helicopter Museum and Education Center, $9,528
