Avon Grove children's librarian Carole Vinciguerra, Girl Scout Lara McKinnon, Girl Scout Elise Miller, Girl Scout Isabel Foley, Girl Scout Katie Groft and library board of trustee president Mark Ungemach.

The Avon Grove Library board of trustees held a reception for Cadets in Girl Scout Troop 41163 on May 28 as they presented their support for the library’s summer programs.

The Cadets support the library by supplying materials for summer children’s programs. Under the leadership of co-leaders Melanie Weiler and Deb Groft, and treasurer Ann Caruso, the girls have also worked with Kennett Area Community Services to sort food for distribution and keep track of food expiration dates. During the year, the girls have also worked on a special project, organizing sample bags of food for distribution that included specific nutritional content information.

The members of the troop are: Maddie Bernstein, Abigail Caruso, Isabel Foley, Katie Groft, Becca LeStourgeon, Claire McFadden, Lara McKinnon, Elise Miller, Courtney Pedersen, Tessa Quinn, Autumn Thorngate, Jules Weiler and Julia Zona.
