The Jennersville YMCA Youth Theatre will be presenting two shows this summer for tweens and teens, “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley” and “13 The Musical.”

“Flat Stanley” will be staged on June 6 at 7 p.m., and June 7 at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Chester County Technical College/High School in West Grove. The show is about Stanley Lambchop, an ordinary 10-year-old who wishes to travel the world and do something amazing. After a bulletin board flattens Stanley – literally – he must scour the globe, encountering numerous obstacles in his quest to become three-dimensional again.

“13 The Musical” is scheduled on June 13 at 7 p.m., and June 14 at 2 and 7 p.m. at Vineyard at the Barn (3224 Appleton Rd., Landenberg). The story about growing up features Evan Goldman, a teenager forced to move from New York City to a small town in Indiana when his parents divorce. Hilarity ensues as one issue after another arises in his eventual discovery that cool is where you find it and often where you least expect it. The musical features a live band, and is rated PG for teen-themed topics.

Tickets are $6 for “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley” and $15 for “13 The Musical” ($13 for YMCA members). Tickets are available at the Jennersville YMCA West Grove member services desk, or at the door prior to each performance.
