UHS Players get awards for 'Pink Panther Strikes Again'

Unionville High School was recognized for its recent production at the Cappies.

On May 15, the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District announced that the Unionville High School Players received seven nominations from the Cappies critics for their recent production of “The Pink Panther Strikes Again.”

More than 40 high schools in the greater Philadelphia area participate in the Critics and Awards Program (Cappies), through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers.

The Annual Gala was held May 10 at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, N.J. 

Ryan Nilsen and David Biddle each won a Cappie for their performances. Molly Basilio, nominated for a Cappie three years in a row, received the UHS Players spirit award.

All nominees received bronze medals. The seven UHS nominations include:

Creativity: Brock Benzel for composing

Comic Actor: Ryan Nilsen

Featured Actor: Alex Kallis

Choreography: Annie Ward

Supporting Actor: David Biddle
